Abieyuwa Iyare, M.D. Specialties: Pediatrics

Dr. Iyare-Broughty is the Associate Director of the Newborn Nurseries at NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. She is also an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an assistant attending pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

After earning a B.S. in Psychology at City College of New York, Dr. Iyare-Broughty received her medical degree (M.D.) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency training at New York University School of Medicine.

Board-certified in general pediatrics, Dr. Iyare-Broughty worked for eleven years as an Instructor and Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also served as the Medical Director of the Newborn Nursery and Co-Chair of the Breastfeeding Committee at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore/ Montefiore Medical Center-Weiler Division. She received an award of recognition for her work and contribution to the Breastfeeding Committee at Montefiore Medical Center in 2017.
