About Adham Elmously, MD
Dr. Adham Elmously is an attending surgeon in the Section of Adult Cardiac Surgery at NewYork Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He trained in cardiothoracic surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. Prior to that, he completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the NewYork Presbyterian Hospital Cornell/Columbia program.
A dual-trained cardiac and vascular surgeon, Dr. Elmously treats the full spectrum of cardiac disease including advanced surgical techniques for coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve surgery, and circulatory support. His special interest is in treating diseases of the aorta from the aortic valve and aortic arch down through abdomen using both traditional open and endovascular surgical approaches. His clinical research focuses on the treatment of aortic diseases and has been shared in many peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and oral presentations.
