About Alana Abbott, AuD, CCC-A

Alana M. Abbott, AuD, CCC-A, currently serves as Assistant Professor of Audiology at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Abbott graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Hearing Sciences. She received her Doctorate in Audiology from Northwestern University and completed her audiology residency at Columbia University Medical Center.


Dr. Abbott's clinical focus includes auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, pediatric and adult audiological diagnostic testing, and pediatric and adult amplification. Dr. Abbott enjoys participating in clinical research and collaborating with her colleagues to learn about new treatments for hearing loss. When she is not diagnosing and treating hearing loss, Dr. Abbott enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures.


Dr. Abbott is licensed in Audiology through New York State and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
