Before joining the faculty at Columbia as an attending physician, Dr. Neuwirth completed a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Neuwirth is actively engaged in ongoing clinical outcomes research in the field of joint replacement and reconstruction. His primary research efforts are focused on the eradication of infection following hip and knee replacements.
