About Amanda Neilan, C.P.N.P.
Amanda Neilan, CPNP is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner for the Pediatric Urology practice within the Department of Urology. Amanda treats patients with voiding dysfunction, bedwetting, urinary incontinence, frequency, urgency, recurrent UTIs, and penile/labial adhesions. Amanda specializes in performing newborn circumcisions and has undergone extensive training under the supervision of Dr. Ardavan Akhavan. Amanda also has advanced training in performing and interpreting infant and pediatric video urodynamics, uroflowmetry, and biofeedback therapy.
Amanda earned a Master of Science from New York University, where she completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University. Amanda is licensed in New York State and is board-certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners. Prior to joining the Pediatric Urology team, Amanda worked as a nurse practitioner in Pediatric ENT at NYP/Weill Cornell and as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Amanda is dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care for her patients. She encourages families to take part in the development of an evidence-based, comprehensive treatment plan.
