About Anna Larkin, D.N.P.

Anna Larkin, DNP, earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry with a minor in Italian from the College of the Holy Cross. She then attended Hunter College where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing in chronic pain management.

She began her nursing career on a postoperative orthopedic unit at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) where she worked for six years. While at HSS, she earned certifications in orthopedic nursing and holistic nursing, and participated in a humanitarian service trip to Accra, Ghana. She also completed evidence-based practice projects such as developing a nightshift wellness education pamphlet to educate staff on how to maintain wellness, and implementing aromatherapy as the first nurse-driven alternative therapy for postoperative nausea at HSS.

After earning her Master of Science in Nursing, she worked as a nurse practitioner at a pain management clinic in the Bronx, NY and became an active member of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing.
