As a doula, Ms. Butler works collaboratively with doula communities of color throughout the city to advocate for birth autonomy and to expand access to birth support and perinatal resources among underserved communities.Ms. Butler has experience supporting a range of agencies serving the mental and medical health needs of LGBTQ, perinatal, and homeless populations, in various capacities. She is currently completing a doctorate in psychiatric nursing at Columbia with a sub-specialty in women's health.
