Benjamin Trnka, MD

Dr. Benjamin Trnka is an Inpatient Psychiatrist and Assistant Clinical Professor practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his MD from the University of Washington and completed his residency in Psychiatry at New York University.Dr. Trnka is a member of the World Association of Cultural Psychiatry and the Society for the Social Studies of Science. His research interests focus on the emergence of novel technologies in psychiatric care, especially transcranial magnetic stimulation. He has an interest in transcultural approaches in clinical care, as well as nonpharamcological treatment approaches for psychosis.
