About Brian Page, MD

Dr. Brian Joseph Page is an orthopedic trauma and limb reconstruction surgeon at HSS and NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. As a dual-fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon he specializes in the treatment of fractures in the arms, legs, pelvis, and acetabulum, and also specialized in deformity correction, infection, malunions, non-unions, bone defects and limb salvage. Dr. Page prioritizes a patient-centric approach to individualize patient care using research and many surgical techniques to provide a tailored approach to patient care.

After receiving a B.S in Chemistry at the University of California, San Diego where he graduated cum laude, Dr. Page graduated medical school with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – the largest hospital system in Texas. During his residency tenure, his zeal for teaching was evidenced by serving as the Chair of Resident Education (appointed by his peers) for four years where he created and maintained a curriculum for his residency program. He then completed two fellowships at HSS. He completed his first fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology, training under Dr. William M. Ricci and Dr. David L. Helfet. During his traumatology fellowship he also worked at three busy level one trauma centers – Westchester Medical Center, Jacobi Medical Center, and New York-Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then completed a second fellowship in Limb Lengthening and Complex Reconstruction under Dr. S. Robert Rozbruch and Dr. Austin T. Fragomen. In the former, he was expertly trained in all areas of fracture care of the appendicular skeleton and pelvis/acetabulum. In the latter, he learned how to assess and treat post-operative and congenital deformity mastering numerous treatment modalities including hexapod circular fixation, osteotomies, and osseointegration.

Dr. Page is actively involved in advancing the field of orthopedics in research including many multicenter studies and numerous ongoing research projects. He is also the awardee of several research grants. Additionally, he has multiple book chapters, web-based publications, and instructional technique videos. He is actively involved in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), AO North America (AONA), Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society (LLRS), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) including the The American Orthopaedic Association's Emerging Leaders Program (AOA-ELP).

Dr. Page is dedicated to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, serving as faculty for the Orthopedic Surgery residency program at HSS. Prior to returning to HSS and NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, he began his career working at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn where he served the local community, and educated medical students and residents. Dr. Page is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and expertise for his patients and provides both surgical and non-surgical services for both adults and children.
