About Christine T Lauren, MD
Christine T Lauren, MD, is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and serves as an Associate Designated Institutional Official at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Lauren completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she served as chief resident, and returned to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia campus for her dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship. Dr. Lauren is board-certified in both dermatology and pediatrics. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Dermatology, and an active member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance. She currently serves on the executive committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Section on Dermatology. Dr. Lauren's clinical and academic interests include atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions, vascular birthmarks, neonatal dermatology, and medical education. She is actively involved in clinical research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in both dermatology and pediatrics. She has been a strong advocate for medical training, previously serving as Program Director of the Dermatology Residency Program. In her current role as an Associate Designated Institutional Official at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, she supports graduate medical education across multiple specialties and campuses.
