Dr. Hametz is board certified in internal medicine (cardiovascular disease) and the Chair of Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. He graduated from Cornell University and received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following that Dr. Hametz completed a fellowship at North Shore University Hospital.

Dr. Hamitz is very caring, empathic and knowledgeable. He always takes the time to explain things to me. He even identified a medication issue when talking with me about my Rx history (about a med that he didn't even prescribe). What a great catch! He is a very engaging and competent MD, and I will highly recommend him.
