About Daniel Kurzer Manson, MD

Dr. Manson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. He received his B.A. in the Biological Basis of Behavior and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Columbia University and served as Chief Resident. He completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as Chief Fellow during his last year of fellowship training. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board eligible in Critical Care Medicine. He specializes in caring for patients with a broad range of pulmonary diseases and critical illness and is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. He is passionate about medical education and serves as an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, co-directing the Advanced Clinician Educator Program. His research interests include the physical and psychological consequences of pulmonary disease and critical illness, bolstering education in serious illness communication, and optimizing the use of palliative care in the intensive care unit.
