About Daniel Levitan, MD
Dr. Levitan received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brooklyn College in 2008 and his M.D, degree from St. George's University in 2013. He completed his residency in pathology (AP/CP) at SUNY Downstate Medical Center (now, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University) in 2017. Afterwards, he went on to complete a one-year fellowship in oncologic surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2018, followed by fellowship training in gynecologic and perinatal pathology at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine in 2019. After completing his training, Dr. Levitan spent over 4 years in the role of Clinical Assistant Professor and attending surgical pathologist at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University with sign-out privileges at Maimonides Medical Center. He joins us at our Brooklyn Methodist division as Assistant Attending Physician of Pathology and as a general anatomic/surgical pathologist with special expertise in oncologic surgical as well as gynecologic and placental pathology.
