About David A. Green, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Green is a urologic surgeon with expertise in the surgical management of urologic cancers. After receiving his M.D. from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Green completed his residency in urology at New York Medical College. He then completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center during which time he authored numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters on the topics of bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer.

Dr. Green's expertise is in treating all cancers of the genitourinary tract, including cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, and testis. His training in the da Vinci robotic surgery platform enables him to incorporate minimally invasive approaches to complicated urologic disorders – both malignant as well as benign.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Green serves in a number of leadership roles at New York-Presbyterian Queens as Director of the Genitourinary Tumor Board and the clinical site lead for the Prostate Group disease management team. His leadership positions in these committees inform his multidisciplinary approach to urologic cancer management.

Dr. Green is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Green performed a transperianal (sp?) biopsy who gave me a full explanation of what to expect, and there were no surprises. While this procedure is not fun, Dr. Green was very attentive to me.

Dr, David Green answered my questions and his explanations clarified my concerns regarding my test results ordered by another provider. I truly appreciated his professionalism, directness and patience. I left the office with less anxiety and will follow-up with my Primary Physician as he suggested.
