He attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and went on to do his residency inorthopedics at Stony Brook University. After graduation Dr. Hansen went on to do two fellowships, one in orthopedic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and the second in metabolic bone disease at Hospital for Special Surgery.
