About Eli Bryk, MD
Dr. Bryk serves as the Chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and the Chief of New York Downtown Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Bryk is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association. He is a member of many academic societies and boards, including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the International Cartilage Repair Society. He was a founding member of the Academic Orthopaedic Society and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Research Committee. Dr. Bryk also served as chairman of the section on orthopaedic surgery of the New York Academy of Medicine and is the author of over 50 publications and abstracts in peer reviewed orthopaedic journals, including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College and his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Bryk trained in both general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Bryk specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip in adults.
