He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has published in State-of-the-Art Spine Surgery, in which he contributed to several chapters on spinal biomechanics. He subsequently completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Current Orthopedic Practice. Dr. Cerabona specializes in adult reconstructive spinal surgery, including cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions, deformities, tumors and trauma. He has completed training programs in advanced surgical techniques for complex spinal deformity, minimally-invasive surgery, kyphoplasty, and disc-replacement surgery.
