About Jeremy E. Stone, PhD

Jeremy E. Stone, Ph.D. Dr. Stone is the Director of the Adolescent DBT Program for self-injuring teenagers at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Westchester Division, and an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is a past-president of the Clinical Division, Westchester County Psychological Association.In 1992, Dr. Stone left a successful career as a musician and music director on and off Broadway to obtain his doctorate in clinical psychology at New York University. He completed his clinical preparation at the Westchester Division, where he received extensive training in both dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and transference-focused therapy (TFP). In 2000, Dr. Stone joined the Weill Cornell faculty, specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults with severe emotional and behavioral problems. He delivers an annual lecture series on "Basic Concepts of DBT" and supervises both staff and trainees in the delivery of this treatment to adolescents and adults. He also specializes in the supervision of psychotherapy cases in which patients' personality and/or family issues interfere with their CBT or other treatments.
