About Joanna Weeks, M.D.
Joanna K. Weeks, M.D., is a radiologist specializing in Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine in the Division of Interventional Radiology and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell.
Dr. Weeks joined the Weill Cornell faculty in 2024 after completing her residency and fellowships in Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She served as Chief Fellow in Nuclear Radiology from 2022 to 2023. In 2023, she was recognized for her commitment to delivering patient-centered care with the Pendergrass Quality & Safety Award. In 2024, she received a POWERS Award for her exemplary work advancing the status of women in radiology. She earned her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2018 and completed her internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2019.
Dr. Weeks is passionate about providing patient-centered care in radiology. She is interested in establishing longitudinal care relationships with patients, especially in oncology, oncology-related pain, lymphatics, portal hypertension, and dialysis access. Her research interests in nuclear imaging include novel tracers in oncology and lymphatics and hybrid approaches to care utilizing non-invasive infusion and interventional techniques. She is actively involved in teaching and mentorship and in advancing the goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion in medicine.
