Dr. Julie V. Schaffer obtained summa cum laude undergraduate and cum laude medical degrees from Yale University. She remained at Yale for her Pediatric Internship and Dermatology Residency, serving as Dermatology Chief Resident, and then completed a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine. Dr. Schaffer was subsequently the Director ofPediatric Dermatology and Director of Dermatology Resident Education at NYUfrom 2005-2015. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine in 2026, she held the role of Professor in the Pediatric Dermatology Division at Hackensack University Medical Center, where she founded and directed a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship.
