About Katherine Heins, LMSW

Katie is a licensed Master Social Worker specializing in treatment of adolescents, adults and families. She is passionate about collaborating with clients to create lives they experience as worth living. She provides evidence-based care including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to individuals and groups. Katie received her Maser's in Social Work from Columbia University, where she was intensively trained in DBT under the direction of Dr. Andre Ivanoff and Behavioral Tech, LLC. She completed internships at school, residential, and outpatient settings working with adolescents, adults, and families, where she developed skills in the treatment of suicidal behaviors, self injury, and borderline personality disorder. She also has significant experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, She received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of South Carolina.
