About Lana Kang, MD
Dr. Lana Kang was invited to join the faculty of Hospital for Special Surgery after completing her fellowship at HSS in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Her education includes the following institutions: Stanford University, the University of California at San Francisco, and Brown University. She received a dual fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma, and currently Dr. Kang directs the Residency-focused Hand Specialty Service at the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her private practice is clinically diverse with a particular emphasis on traumatic injuries of the upper extremity.Dr. Kang serves as an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. She is a consultant investigator for academic clinical trials and a delegate for professional societies at both the local and national levels. She is the daughter of Korean immigrants, was born in the state of New Jersey, has lived on both the east and west coasts of the United States, and is currently a resident of the wonderful city of New York.
