About Lauren Elizabeth Oberlin, Ph.D.
Dr. Oberlin obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and Biological and Health Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her doctoral training, Dr. Oberlin worked in a variety of clinical settings and developed a specialty in geriatric mental health and adult neuropsychology. She completed her clinical internship in adult psychology and neuropsychology at New York University Langone Health within the Department of Neurorehabilitation. She obtained postdoctoral training at the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Oberlin's primary expertise is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and behavioral medicine, though she integrates other empirically-based modalities including mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her research interests include identifying and refining novel treatments for mood disorders in aging, and using brain imaging techniques to evaluate the mechanisms underlying new and promising interventions.
