About Lauren Jennifer Curato, DO
Dr. Lauren Curato is a board-certified physician in emergency medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center with over 10 years of clinical experience caring for the acutely ill and injured. Dr. Curato's primary academic interest is in undergraduate medical education. She is currently faculty in the CUIMC Foundations of Clinical Medicine Course and Assistant Clerkship Director for the Emergency Medicine Clerkship during the CUIMC Major Clinical Year. Dr. Curato is active in the NY Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) where she is a member of the Professional Development Committee and is an elected Councilor representing NY in the national ACEP Council.Dr. Curato is a graduate of Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY where she was Chief Resident and was awarded the Outstanding Performance in Emergency Medicine Award. Dr. Curato practices in the Adult Emergency Department at NY Presbyterian-Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NY Presbyterian-Allen Hospital.
