I make use of multiple psychotherapy techniques in combination with medications. I treat a variety of mental health problems including anxiety and depression, psychosis, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating. I also focus on helping people whose troubles do not fit so neatly with these diagnoses. When managing medications, I incorporate treatments backed by the best evidence and clinical experience. I collaborate with patients to reach their goals for seeking treatment. I often work with people who are having troubles reaching their educational or academic goals, or creative pursuits, due to mental health issues.I also work at Columbia Presbyterian's psychiatric emergency room, where I see patients in psychiatric emergencies, supervise residents, and teach medical students. During residency I was recognized nationally with the National Institute of Mental Health Outstanding Resident Award. I am also a past fellow of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
