Liam Butchart, MD, MA

Liam Butchart, MD, MA, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. In this role, he sees patients both in the acute care setting and more longitudinally through the Faculty Practice. Dr. Butchart has a particular clinical interest in the concurrent use of psychotherapy and medication to holistically address mental health conditions.Dr. Butchart's scholarly work focuses on the intersection of mental health and the human aspects of illness, and how patient stories can inform treatment.
