About Malavika Prabhu, M.D.

Dr. Prabhu cares for women with all aspects of a high-risk pregnancy. She specializes in high-risk maternal medical conditions, including congenital and acquired cardiac disease, hypertension and preeclampsia, lupus, and thrombophilia and hematologic complications of pregnancy.


She performs obstetric ultrasound and amniocentesis for prenatal diagnosis, and cervical cerclage placement for women at risk of premature birth. She also cares for women with twins and triplets, and performs twin vaginal deliveries ncluding breech extractions.


Dr. Prabhu is a board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and board eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She completed her residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and her fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. After working in the division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Women and Infants Hospital at Brown University, she was excited to join the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Prabhu is from Greenville, SC, and received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, and her medical degree from Stanford University.
