About Manar Abdalgani, MBBS

Dr. Abdalgani is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). She completed her MBBS medical degree at the University of Jordan, Pediatric residency at University at Buffalo, NY, fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and fellowship in Clinical Immunology and Diagnostic Immunology Laboratory at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.


In 2018, Dr. Abdalgani joined Children's Minnesota as a Pediatric Clinical Immunologist, and also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota for two years. She was involved in teaching medical residents and fellows. Dr. Abdalgani's primary interest is primary immunodeficiency diseases, immune regulatory disorders, pre and post-transplant care of primary immune deficiency patients, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis and immunomodulatory treatment.


She is a member of the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) and has served as a member of the CIS Continuous Medical Education Committee since 2020. She has reviewed for the Journal of Clinical Immunology since 2019. Dr. Abdalgani participated in research in diagnostic laboratory immunology, immune dysregulation and cytopenia. She presented some of her work in national meeting. Dr. Abdalgani was chosen as one of the Minnesota Monthly Magazine top doctors in 2021 and 2022.
