About Margaret M DeJong, LCSW

Margaret DeJong, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD). Margaret graduated Magna Cum Laude from Connecticut College with a BA in Psychology, and received her Masters of Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work, where she concentrated in Advanced Clinical Practice. Margaret completed training with children, adolescents, and families at the Children's Aid Society and on the Children's Day Unit (CDU) at New York State Psychiatric Institute. Prior to joining CUCARD, Margaret previously worked at Montefiore Medical Group's Behavioral Health Integration Program, where she provided short-term evidence-based psychotherapy, and also at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on the child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units. Margaret specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and related disorders. She has a specific interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, depression, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
