Maria T. Thanjan, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Maria Thanjan is assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and assistant attending pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she is also the Director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens.

Dr. Thanjan is dedicated to treating children with congenital heart disease. As a mother and a survivor of congenital heart disease herself, she has a unique perspective in counseling her patients and their families. She has a particular interest in pediatric echocardiography and cardiac imaging, and specializes in fetal echocardiography, allowing her to make the diagnosis of congenital heart lesions prenatally.
