About Mark T. Langhans, MD PHD

Dr. Langhans is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery and a member of the member of the sports medicine and orthopedic surgery service at NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital. He specializes in the operative and nonoperative treatment of adult athletes of all skill levels. He has a special interest in hip arthroscopy and joint preservation. Dr. Langhans received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and PhD in molecular genetics and developmental biology and medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After finishing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 2022, he went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Langhans is active in academic research, having authored several articles in such publications as the Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, Current Stem Cell Research & Therapies, and the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery.
