Mary Hanna, MD

Dr. Hanna, a Brooklyn native, earned a BA/MA in biotechnology from CUNY Hunter College. After college, Dr. Hanna worked in academia for 6 years, helping to develop therapies in Alzheimer's disease at Weill Cornell Medical College and in immunodeficiencies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She then decided to transition from the bench to the bedside, and embarked on her career in medicine by attending Saba University School of Medicine. She was immediately drawn to the field of internal medicine, and feeling a kinship to the people of Brooklyn, attended residency at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the same hospital she volunteered at as a teenager.
