Matthew Buchalter, MD

Dr. Buchalter is a native of New York City, born and raised in Riverdale. He majored in biology at Cornell University and earned his medical degree from New York University. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, he spent a year working at Brown's community hospital affiliate, The Miriam Hospital, in Providence, Rhode Island. He then returned to New York and spent 18 years as a perioperative internist at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), where he served as medical co-director of the Physician Assistant department and was co-chair of the Multidisciplinary Peer Review committee.
