About Meghan Lane-Fall, MD
Effective May 5, 2025, Meghan Lane-Fall, MD, MSHP, FCCM serves as the Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and Anesthesiologist-in-Chief of the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Lane-Fall is an anesthesiologist, intensive care physician, and implementation scientist.
Dr. Lane-Fall is a dedicated mentor with more than 90 lifetime mentees from undergraduate students to faculty. She is also on the Boards of Directors of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research. Prior to her appointment at Columbia, Dr. Lane-Fall served as the Executive Director of the Penn Implementation Science Center, the David E. Longnecker Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, and Professor of Epidemiology and Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and faculty lead for Accelerate Health Equity, an equity-focused coalition of all the major health systems in metro Philadelphia.
