About Michael G. Wayne, DO
Michael G. Wayne, DO, a general surgeon and hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon, is the director of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is an assistant professor of clinical surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Wayne is a board-certified surgeon, specializing in hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery with a clinical focus on minimally invasive procedures. He also specializes in surgical oncology for liver, pancreatic and stomach cancers, and performs Whipple resections. His clinical experience includes treating liver and hepatic tumors, cysts, and adenomas, and pancreatic cancer. He also treats gallbladder disease, neuroendocrine and duodenal conditions, bile duct conditions, and esophageal cancer. Dr. Wayne graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in surgery at Cabrini Medical Center. He served his fellowship in hepatobiliary surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and completed fellowship training in pancreatic and biliary disease at Cabrini Medical Center.
