Mirella Salvatore is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. She obtained her M.D. cum laude from the Catholic University in Rome, Italy, and completed her internal medicine residency and fellowship in infectious diseases at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. At Mount Sinai she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship training in influenza virus. As a physician-scientist, Dr. Salvatore has focused her research on host responses and therapeutics for influenza, with a focus on the immune-compromised host, and vaccines development.
