About Natalie Hoi-Yun Yip, MD
Dr. Natalie Yip is the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Medicine, Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Units and the Medical Critical Care Service, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Columbia University Medical Center where she served as chief fellow.
With a particular interest in the role of information technology in improving patient care, Dr. Yip serves as the Critical Care IT Liaison for the hospital and is very involved in multiple hospital committees and initiatives with a global focus on improving quality of care in the ICUs and beyond. Additionally Dr. Yip continues to devote much time on education with a passion for invasive mechanical ventilation. She is also actively engaged in research related to health care implementation and delivery.
