About Nelson G Botwinick, MD
Dr. Botwinick's expertise is in the treatment of disorders of the upper extremity, with a special interest in traumatic injury and fracture care. Dr. Botwinick holds a faculty appointment at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Botwinick serves as an advisor to multiple corporate entities with regard to ergonomics, proper work station design, and prevention of workplace injury. Dr. Botwinick is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Botwinick is a graduate of Brown University and New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at Bellevue Hospital and New York University and his orthopaedic surgical residency in the same institutions. He later went on to complete a Fellowship in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at New York University and Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Botwinick is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
