About Nicholas Gregory Brown, MD
Nicholas Brown, MD, is an interventional gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester, affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures utilizing minimally invasive approaches to treat pancreatic, biliary and esophageal diseases in addition to other digestive disorders. Dr. Brown performs general gastroenterology procedures including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and he is also experienced in ERCP with biliary and pancreatic stent placement , diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration and Barrett's Esophagus therapy. In addition, he is skilled in enteric stent placement and removal of complex polyps. After graduating from University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Brown completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and later served as an academic hospitalist at the Denver VA Medical Center teaching internal medicine trainees. He pursued fellowship training in general gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Brown finished his training as an advanced endoscopy fellow at Columbia University Medical Center in New York and is now the Director of Interventional Endoscopy at Lawrence Hospital. His research interests are pancreaticobiliary diseases and he is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Medical Association.
