Penelope Chun Lema, MD

Dr. Penelope (Penny) Lema is the inaugural Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs for the Columbia University Department of Emergency Medicine and Professor of Emergency Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. A nationally recognized leader in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Lema has played a pivotal role in advancing the sub-specialty of Emergency Ultrasound.

Dr. Lema completed her Emergency Medicine residency and Emergency Ultrasound fellowship at North Shore University Hospital (now Hofstra Northwell), where she was also Chief Resident.
