About Rikhev Kashyap, DO
Rikhev Kashyap, DO is a sports medicine physician specializing in the non-operative management of a variety of musculoskeletal problems in pediatric and adult patients. As a former athlete, Dr. Kashyap appreciates the importance of keeping active even through pain or injury. He cares for patients of all ages and activity levels. Dr. Kashyap believes strongly in forming a partnership with every patient to understand their individual goals and how best to achieve those through tailored treatment plans.
Dr. Kashyap was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati. He then moved to Chicago, IL where he completed his medical school training at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by Family Medicine residency at La Grange Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kashyap went on to complete a Fellowship program in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. He has experience working with DePaul University (NCAA Division I), and several professional and semi-professional sports teams including the Chicago Bulls (NBA), Chicago Fire (MLS), Chicago White Sox (MLB), Chicago Steel (USHL) and Athletes Unlimited Softball. Dr. Kashyap also worked with performing arts athletes at the Joffrey Ballet and has covered mass events, having volunteered in the medical tents at the Chicago Marathon several times.
Dr. Kashyap is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. His practice provides joint and musculoskeletal injection therapies, fracture care, concussion management, compartment pressure testing and sports physicals.
