About Roger Patron-Lozano, M.D.
Roger Patrón-Lozano, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at New York-Presybyterian Medical Group Queens and an assistant professor in clinical surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgery and has an expertise in treating inflammatory bowel disease, rectal prolapse, diverticular disease and colon and rectal cancers.
Dr. Patrón-Lozano has been published in numerous medical journals, including the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, The Journal of Surgical Research and more. He has presented his research at annual medical meetings including the Digestive Disease Week and as an invited lecturer and facilitator at Yale University on topics, including trauma and emergency general surgery, and endoscopic surgery. Dr. Patrón-Lozano is a candidate member of the American College of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, a member of the Yale Surgical Society, and a reviewer for the journal Diseases of the Colon and Rectum.
After graduating from Anahuac University School of Medicine in Mexico, Dr. Patrón-Lozano completed his general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital at Yale School of Medicine and served his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Indiana University Medical Center.
