About Sangwoo Lee, MD

Dr. Sangwoo Lee is a board certified Ophthalmology practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens located in Fresh Meadows, NY. He received his medical degree from Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, completed his internship in Internal and residency in Ophthalmology at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Following his residency he then completed his fellowship in Vitreo-retinal Disease and Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Lee is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Medical College. Dr. Lee is the Medical Director of the Queens Eye Center and spearheads the retinal program at the Center. He has special interest in diabetic eye diseases, macular degeneration, retinal tears and retinal detachments. Dr. Lee experience in ocular trauma is critical to is work as team eye physician to the New York Mets.
