Sarita Patel, MD, specializes in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, and is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Patel has been providing Palliative Care, including symptoms such as pain management and supportive care to patients. She has a clinical interest in Palliative medicine, hospice care, internal medicine, non-pain and pain symptom management and ethics. She is a certified Yoga-Meditation Teacher and instructs patients and health care professionals in yoga, breathing and meditation to improve their wellbeing.
After graduating from M. G. M. Medical College in India, Dr. Patel completed her residency at Bronx Care Hospital Center in New York. She served her fellowship at James J. Peters VA Medical Center, part of the VISN3 NY/NJ Veterans Healthcare System, in Bronx, New York. Dr. Patel offers care with holistic approach to wellness that nurtures mind, body and spirit with a wide range of education, programs and support.
