About Shadi Khalil, MD, PhD

Dr. Shadi Khalil is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Khalil received his BS degree in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and an MD/PhD degrees in experimental Pathology from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, followed by dermatology residency training at the University of California San Diego and dermatopathology fellowship training at New York University.


Dr. Khalil is committed to providing excellent evidence-based care to his patients and practices both medical dermatology and dermatopathology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology(AAD), International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP), and Society of Investigative Dermatology (SID), and additionally serves as a faculty member of the AAD World Congress committee. He is an active researcher with numerous publications and has received many awards for clinical and scientific excellence, including the prestigious AAD presidential citation, Dermatology Foundation CareerDevelopment Award, AAD Everett C. Fox Memorial Award, Noah Worcester Dermatologic SocietyResident Lectureship Award, and 1st place at the ISDP Dermatopathology Olympics.
