About Shiloh Marie Eastin, PsyD, PMH-C

Shiloh "Lola" Eastin, PsyD, PMH-C, is a licensed clinical perinatal psychologist. She graduated cum laude from University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) with a BS degree in Psychology and then earned a MS degree from ULL in Applied Psychology. She has a MA degree in Educational Psychology and PsyD in School-Clinical Psychology from Kean University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center and post-doctoral fellowship at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University with a concentration in Perinatal Mental Health. While there, she trained within their nationally-recognized Day Hospital which offers intensive mental health treatment to pregnant and postpartum parents. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. Prior to her current role at NYPH/CUIMC, she was a perinatal psychologist at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Eastin is a Clinical Instructor in Medical Psychology (in Psychiatry) within the Department of Psychiatry. She holds a hospital appointment at NYPH/CUIMC where she provides clinical care within the hospital's Obstetric units and the Department of Psychiatry's Women's Program. Her clinical interests include Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), in particular anxiety disorders and postpartum OCD, along with associated stressors that can arise during the perinatal period including infertility, perinatal loss, traumatic birth, and coping with maternal-fetal medical complications. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. She primarily utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and will also integrate aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and dyadic techniques to help patients meet their goals. She is passionate about integrating mental health care into medical settings and increasing access to care for traditionally under-resourced and marginalized communities.
