About Shweta Iyer, M.D., MHPE

Dr. Shweta Iyer specializes in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

She graduated from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center-Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at NYU Langone School of Medicine-Bellevue Hospital Center. She also holds a Master of Health Professions Education from Maastricht University.

Dr. Iyer is interested in medical education, physician wellness, and global health. In her free time, Dr. Iyer can be found running after her kids (daughter and twin boys) and walking her dog. She enjoys adventurous travel, volunteering at animal shelters, and curling up with a good book.

In our pediatric practices, we advocate for children to receive the recommended vaccinations as per the schedules provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Vaccines are a safe and effective means of preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding vaccinations, we are available to discuss them during your child's next visit.
