About Suneeta Krishnareddy, MD
Dr. Krishnareddy completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and went on to complete her fellowship in Digestive and Liver diseases at Columbia University, during which time she obtained a Masters in Clinical Research Methods and Biostatistics from the Mailman School of Public Health. She was a post-doctoral fellow in a NIH-funded training program during her training under the mentorship of Sankar Ghosh. She then completed an advanced fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and returned to join the faculty of Digestive and Liver Diseases at Columbia University Medical Center in 2014.
Dr. Krishnareddy's clinical interest include a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, indeterminate colitis celiac disease, autoimmune enteropathy, microscopic colitis, collagenous colitis, lymphocytic colitis and other autoimmune disorders of the gut. Dr Krishnareddy is actively recruiting for participation in clinical trials for management of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Dr. Krishnareddy is collaborating with the Department of Immunology and Microbiology in the study of the microbiome and the effect on disease pathogenesis in celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She is also the studying the role of the microbiome in immune development and regulation.
