She has a particular interest in quantifying myelin and inflammation and using imaging to explore cognitive dysfunction in MS. Her expertise spans both quantitative MRI and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Dr. Gauthier has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), and several pharmaceutical companies. She is an active mentor to post-doctoral candidates, residents, and research fellows in her research program.
