About Susan E. Gottlieb, MD
Dr. Susan Gottlieb, chief of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, completed her pediatric residency at NYU Medical Center and her fellowship in Child Development at Boston Children's Hospital. She is board-certified in both general pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She was among the first group of pediatricians to be certified in this subspecialty. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Society if Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and a graduate fellow of the National Center for Clinical Infant Programs. She has written two books for parents: Keys to Children's Sleep Problems and Keys to Parenting Your Three Year Old, which won a Parent's Choice Award. Her books have been translated into Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic and Chinese. Dr. Gottlieb's major clinical interests are in the areas of sleep, language development, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Her research focuses on early detection of developmental delays, care of underserved populations, and best practices in teaching child development to pediatricians in training.
